At the Hospital

Sorry it has taken so long to update the blog. Here are a couple of pics from the hospital. We are still figuring out how to add some more pictures like in a slideshow. This is Sarah at one day old enjoying some skin to skin with her mom. Below are the happy grandparents.

She's Here!

Sarah Elise Nelson was born at 7:33 PM on Thursday, August 7th. She and Mom are doing great! Sarah weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 20.75 inches long.

Definitely by Thursday

The doctors appointment went very well today. The baby and I are both healthy and in good shape. I am now 2cm dilated and ready to go. We have set up an appointment to induce for Thursday, August 7, 2008 but the doctor is very optimistic that I will go into labor on my own before then. He just wanted to set the induction up as a precaution because he doesn't want the baby to become so big that it would be a difficult delivery. We will see what happens. We are very excited and anxious about the way our lives will be changed in just 4 days.

Still Waiting

Well, the due date for the arrival of our little girl has come and gone. It was Wednesday July 30, 2008. Today is August 1, 2008 and we are still waiting. I know its not "late" yet and that we are just anxious to hold her. The next doctor's appointment is Monday August 4th and we will have more news then. God has been good and will continue to work for our good. Check back for more updates and pictures.
